Matt Burris
Jay Jenkins
Jim McCoy
It all started in 2000 when Matt Burris and Allen Turner joined efforts with Jim McCoy and John Patton. With this combination, SD was born. Within 6 months the first cd referred to as the "Black" album was getting radio play with "Beautiful Woman". By mid 2001 the "SO" project was in the works. Tom Ware, Ken Methiasan, to name a few, were working with the band. The release of "SO" put SD on the map and 6 of the 9 songs received ample air play. After over 124 shows in a years time promoting the cd, SD recorded "Live at the Village Pub" and donated proceeds to BACA. Mid 2003 most of the music for "Transitions" ( the fourth cd ) was written , but one problem, Allen was moving. Randy Forst came in to fill the spot and the band toured for 1 more year until the energy was gone. Matt and Jim both took on other projects and played anything but SD 's music. In late 2005, Paul Hall ( current manager ) and long time acquaintance Jay Jenkins wanted to try and bring the life back to the music. After almost a year of writing, 100 + shows, and redefining the sound, SD is back! The 5th cd , Bourbon Cafe was release in June 2007.
